Ghana Tourist Visa Requirements
1. Ghana Visa Application
Provide one (1) completed visa application form. The form changes from time to time so we suggest that you go to the Embassy of Ghana website for the most up to date version: www.ghanaembassy.org Please fill out completely with answers in all fields. Fill in your name exactly as it appears in your passport. Remember to sign the application!
2. U.S. Passport
Provide your valid, signed passport. Your passport should be valid for six months beyond your stay and have two adjacent blank pages available for the Consulate to affix a visa.
3. Photograph
Please provide one (1) color passport sized photo. The photo must be on photo paper, be 2” x 2”, and have a white background. The photo must be taken within three months of application submission.
4. Financial Statement or Letter of Invitation
You must provide EITHER evidence of financial support (bank statement) or a letter of invitation from your host in Ghana.
5. Vaccination Certificate
You must providean International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever.
6. Travel Itinerary
Provide a copy of your airline ticket or your travel agent itinerary.

8. Additional Requirement for Minors (under age 18)
An application for a minor must be accompanied by an ORIGINAL birth certificate, a letter of consent from a parent and a copy of the parent’s photo ID.
Ghana Business Visa Requirements

Additional Information
-All passports or replacing documents must be valid upon arrival.
-Visa will not be required for holders of a Dual Nationality Card issued by Ghana as long as the card is in the traveler’s possession.
-Visitors with onward tickets must hold required documents for their next destination.
-Visitors not holding return or onward tickets may be refused entry to Ghana. Exceptions are made for those holding diplomatic passports, those joining diplomats accredited to Ghana, or those holding gratis visas.
-Yellow fever vaccination required. Exceptions are made for children less than nine months of age. Please be prepared to also present the Yellow Fever vaccination certificate upon departure from Ghana.
-Malaria vaccination is recommended.
-Ghana’s Houston Consulate sometimes has much quicker processing times than the Washington, D.C. Consulate. For a round trip FedEx fee of $60, the customer in some cases will have the option of processing in Houston.
-The Embassy of Ghana is closed every Friday. Please factor that into processing times.
